Q. I can't log into the site! Why won't it log me in?
A. Try to use the recovery password form. If this does not work, make sure you did not use a "space" in your username while signing up. This prevents you from signing in. Please check the forums for more information.

Q. I used to have points, but now they're all gone. Where did my points go?
A. On the first of every month, we pay out the top 10 winners from the leaderboard and reset everybody's points to 0.

Q. What's a .RAR file?
A. A .RAR file is a file compression format. It allows you to put multiple files into one file and compress the size down considerably. It also allows for adding a password to the file to protect it from outsiders.

Q. How do I open a .RAR file?
A. There are guides explaining how to open .RAR files in our help section. Or download an RAR program from download.com.

Q. I downloaded a file, but it wants a password! What do I do?
A. Go back to the page where you orginally got the link for the file and the password should be listed. If it is not, please report the file as having a bad password. Then search the forums for the file you downloaded. If your searches do not yield any results, please make a topic in our RAR Password Requests Forum after first reading How to request a password.

Q. Why are there duplicate results for albums?
A. We allow different links for one album so that if one link goes dead, there are still links alive for that album.

Q. Which links are allowed to be posted?
A. None of the files shown here are actually hosted on 1000 Amps's servers. You may not use this site to distribute or download any material in which you do not have the legal rights to do so. This means that links violating copyrights, or other laws, are forbidden and will be removed as soon as we notice. If you see such files on 1000 Amps, we would be glad if you notify us using the Report Link function on the page linking to the file or simply report an abuse to 1000 Amps at]gmail[dot]com. Please contact the third-party file hosting websites for removal of files.

Q. I can't log into the forum! Why won't it log me in?
A. You login for 1000amps.com will work on the forums as well. You do not need to register twice. If this does not work, please use the recover passwords on the site.

Q. I submitted an album, but didn't receive any points. Why didn't I get any points?
A. After you submit an album it must be approved by the 1000 Amps Staff. This process usually takes less than a day, but can take up to a few days in rare cases.

Q. I submitted an album a few days ago, but I still haven't received my points.
A. This is probably because we denied your link. We deny links for many reasons, but the main reason is that the file was not hosted on a reliable server. Preferred links are from rapidshare, megaupload, sendspace, and turboupload.

POINTS/PAYMENT

Q. How many points for submitting an album and/or refering a friend?
A. You receive 15 points per album we approve. You receive 25 points per friend you refer.

Q. When will I be paid?
A. We pay on a NET 30 pay schedule. Payments are made 30 days after the months of earnings. ex. November 1-30 earnings will be paid December 30. (we pay only through paypal, and only to the top 10 contributors)
