Our Aim:
To set an example for a developing and cultured society based on the real Islamic principles. It is hereby declared that this forum is not against or in contrast with any existing movement, organization, party, association, establishment, trust, belief or thought.
Functioning of the forum:
The forum felt the necessity of improving
- Education
- Health
- Social affairs of our native place.
Hence, the following guidelines are set forth for the improvement of our society:
A. Education:
Education is the back bone of every cultured society and as such, the forum is informed of some irregularities in the existing educational institutions in adirampattinam. Therefore, the forum will appoint an experienced educationist for a recommendation of how to improve the educational system. Then the forum will offer the suggestions and potentials to the existing educational institutions to implement the modern and job-oriented courses of studies there.
Girls education will pave the way for an enlightened society. Traditionally, our men are going abroad or doing business outside adirampattinam. Only when the mother is educated, the children excel in their studies. Therefore, female education is felt very necessary. Moreover, our beloved prophet has said: “seeking knowledge is compulsory for every Muslim (men and women).”
Depending on the necessity, new educational institutions should be established in the vicinity of our town.
The forum will offer career guidance to students who complete their high school study. Poor and brilliant students will be offered moral and monetary assistance to complete their education.
Whenever any young student is identified in the town with extraordinary skills, he/she will be encouraged by the forum to develop the skills for the benefit of the particular student as well as the society.
An on-line or cable network of basic English and Arabic language teaching will be introduced for the benefit of the young children.
The forum will establish a community ‘dawa’ center for the public to make use of and educate themselves in matters of Islamic knowledge.
B. Health:
Equipping our “shifa hospital” with modern medical equipments/facilities is another important health initiative of the forum. This initiative will reduce the forced travel of our native people, especially the ladies, to other towns for medical assistance.
United foundation has an initiative of inviting specialist doctors to treat the patients at “shifa hospital”. The doctors of our native place should offer their one day’s service to “shifa hospital” on rotation basis.
The forum will pay its keen attention on public health outside of hospital. With the assistance of already functioning civic bodies, the health hazardous areas will be cleaned.
Due to ignorance, people throw garbages on the streets which are a big health hazard. The forum will, time to time, educate the people in this regard and a proper garbage disposal system will be implemented in due course.
C. Social affairs:
Since our town is inhabited by predominantly muslim population, the forum aims at establishing the Islamic religious values in our town. However, such aim will not be against the belief and interest of other religious communities (non-Muslims).
The forum will work hard to remove the disparities among the people based on their respective streets.
With regards to the local bodies of the town, like the panchayat board, the forum advocates the policy of “right person for the right job”. Hence, the forum will not hesitate to recommend or force the people to remove wrong persons from holding public office. Some unwanted incidents happened in the past whereby the security to the properties and persons were at risk. Therefore, local security is felt inevitable and the forum has decided to act as a watchdog against anti-social elements. The forum will appoint special security guards with the permission of the local police. The special security force will wade around adirampattinam during the nights to stop the unwanted movements of aliens.
Any matter of concern in our society should be brought to the attention of the forum and it will be discussed in secrecy. The corrective action will be recommended to the concerned party/parties for the enlightened course of action.
The forum openly declares its opposition to the dowry system prevailing in our town. If any such incident happens and it is proved, the forum will not hesitate to bring to the notice of police department for corrective action.
The forum will arrange to erect street names in all the streets in adirampattinam which is one of the models of a developed society.
